Botanical Garden of Medicinal Plants

At the very center of Zlatibor, there is a botanical garden, the oasis of health and healthy mountain plants. It was open more than ten years ago out of wish that tourist, who visit this mountain in great number, would get acquainted with the tradition of alternative healing of our people. Busy gardener were bringing pieces of plant turf in the early spring from forests and meadows of Zlatibor and planted them in already prepared places on earth. Thanks to the abundance of the Sun and fresh air, in this little garden plants like Teucrium, Perforat St John`s-wort, Juniper, Winter Savory, Brecklend Thyme and Phillyrea flourish here and have a miraculous strength. Aside from their beautiful scent, these plants are rich in essential oils known to have an antimicrobial effect.
