Beli Rzav Canyoning – Hiking Tara

The spring of River Beli Rzav is in village Zaovine on the western hillside of the mountain Tara and flows through the narrow karst course making a beautiful canyon in the foothill of Shargan. The length of the river is 23 kilometers, and of the canyon 2 kilometers. It is one of the most beautiful canyons in our country. The tour starts at the old school in the village Djurići and follows the river until it reaches the canyon after 1.5 kilometers. Moving through canyon includes the use of rope and wetsuit for a safe descent. Crossing the barriers and swimming in deep waters is an additionally exciting part. After leaving the canyon, hiking is continued down the river all the way to village Kršanje and furthermore to Kotroman. Tour duration is about 5 hours, of which 8 kilometers is for trekking and 2 kilometers for canyoning.
