Church in Zlatibor

The church of the Holy Transfiguration of our Lord in Zlatibor is at the village Zlatibor and it is a building of a newer date. The temple was built in the period between 1993 and 2013 and it belongs to the eparchy of Žica of the Serbian Orthodox church. Foundations of this temple were blessed in 1993 on the day of the feast of Transfiguration, main construction work was done in 2005, and the temple was blessed on the day of the Saint Kyriakosin 2013. The church covers the area of 520 square meters and it is built relying on the tradition of Raška architectural school. For paintings on the walls, Professor Vidoje Tucović is in charge.
