One of the memorial houses on Zlatibor is the birth house of Dimitrije Tucović, in the village Gostilje next to Zlatibor. One of the most prominent theorists, leader of the workers social movement and founder of the Serbian Social Democratic Party was born in this house. He lost his life in the battle of Kolubara, close to Lazarevac in 1914. The house was built in 1855 and it is a cultural monument of exceptional importance. It was designed in the style of the log cabins of Zlatibor and is one of the examples of the older houses of this type. Today, the memorial house of Dimitrije Tucović is redesigned into an a memorial museum.
