Miladin Lekić gallery can be found in the village Šljivovica next to the main road Užice-Višegrad. In the gallery there is an exhibition of pieces of art of this self-taught and talented sculptor and wood carver. Using chainsaw, chisel, hammer and a rasp, Miladin Lukic creates unbelievable sculptures mostly from wallnut tree, mulberry tree and oak. Atelier is a part of the gallery where the figurines are made.
What gets the biggest attention among his work are figures and figurines of the villagers ranging from 30 centimeters tall to even 2 meters. However, icons and wooden boxes are none the less original and beautiful. The figures carved by hand of the artist can be found in many ethno villages aside from Sirogojno: Zlatokusi, Kremna, Mokra Gora, Rača monastery, while the figurine of a donkey and a villager named `Zlatibor’s fast train` is in possession of our most successful tennis player, Novak Djoković.
