On the western slope of Zlatibor, only 20 kilometers away from the center, village Tripkova is situated with a population of about 350 people. It is special because every year a number of festivities are organized there. Most popular are summer art colonies, workshops for making the art glass and international seminars about the Serbian folklore. For these and many more festivities, summer stage and amphitheater were built in the village. This little village has a moderate climate, natural beauties, and clear Vrutci Lake rich in fish, ideal for excursions, swimming, and fishing. On the outskirts of the village flows the river Sušica which goes dry during summer under the influence of terrain rich in limestone, whereas during rainy periods the river overflows. Villagers call the center of the village Žigale and there is a school there, an old village collective farm and the church of the Holy Sunday. Also at the center, there is a workshop for artistic glass processing`Tifani`, gallery and saloon where you can buy beautiful stained glass, lamps, and dishes. In Tripkova you can buy food prepared in a traditional way, and on the surrounding meadows and in forests, you can pick medicinal plants and mushrooms.
