Zlatibor

Zlatibor is the most visited mountain in Serbia for many years. This mountain massive is on the road to Adriatic Sea, at just 230 kilometers from Belgrade. With 220 sunny days a year it is an ideal place for rest and sport activities, including winter sports. This mountain pearl of Serbia got its name from its golden meadows and vast areas of breathtaking pine forests. The tourism on Zlatibor started to develop with the king Aleksandar Obrenović and his visit to the water spring Kulaševac. From that moment on, wealthy people of that time started building villas and summer houses, and by doing that, started a long lasting tradition of a Zlatibor as a tourist center.

The highest peak of the nature park is Tornik (1496 meters), above which blossomed the wind rose that makes this mountain a unique oasis of health. Zlatibor is a mountain that, for years, welcomes all those who want to enjoy in its natural, historical and cultural riches.
